The TMCS Community Care (TMCSCC) Fatherhood Support Coach plays a central role in recruiting, engaging, and supporting fathers throughout their participation in the iDAD Fatherhood Program.The role is primarily responsible for community outreach, participant engagement and community partnership building. The role is also responsible for delivering direct support, coaching and advocate services to participants in the iDAD Fatherhood program while managing essential program operations. This role includes administrative reporting, community outreach, case management and coordination, and facilitation of the iDAD fatherhood programming. The position will play a key role in engaging fathers, building community partnerships and ensuring quality program delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Recruitment and Outreach
Conduct direct and community-based outreach to identify eligible fathers (with children age 17 or younger) within the service area.
o Represent the iDAD program at community events, churches, barbershops, schools, and other father-centered spaces.
o Deliver engaging, conversational pitches using iDAD-approved outreach scripts and materials.
o Track outreach contacts and maintain accurate referral logs.
o Assist in meeting enrollment targets as outlined in grant deliverables.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
o Build and maintain relationships with local organizations such as workforce agencies, schools, community action agencies, and faith-based groups.
o Serve as a visible advocate for fatherhood, mental wellness, and family stability in the community.
o Collaborate with TMCS Community Care case managers to connect fathers to needed support services (e.g., housing, employment, child support, transportation, mental health).
Program Facilitation Support
o Support iDAD Advocates and Facilitators during the program sessions, including setup, participant check-ins, attendance, and engagement activities.
o Co-facilitate or assist with group discussions, workshops, and experiential activities related to emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and parenting.
o Encourage consistent participation and accountability among fathers.
o Help maintain the energy, motivation, and brotherhood environment central to the iDAD model.
Participant Support
o Assist with initial engagement calls and follow-up contacts with new enrollees to promote retention.
o Support case managers in linking fathers to care coordination resources.
o Provide encouragement, motivation, and check-ins to reinforce homework assignments and personal development goals.
Data, Reporting, and Compliance
o Document outreach, recruitment, attendance and participant interactions in documentation and tracking systems.
o Assist with performance measures reporting.
o Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all TMCSCC and DCF data protection and privacy standards.
The Outreach & Support Coordinator oversees community engagement, marketing, referral coordination, and family support activities to ensure successful implementation of the autism screening initiative funded by the Cinotti Health Care Screening and Services Grant Program. This position serves as the bridge between the clinical screening team and community partners, ensuring that families are reached, informed, and supported through the screening, referral, and follow-up process.
The Outreach & Support Coordinator leads the program’s community engagement and follow-up strategies in accordance with state-approved ASD screening protocols and the Florida Department of Health’s Cinotti Grant requirements. All activities must enhance access to screening, reduce barriers, and strengthen coordination between families, community partners, and healthcare providers .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Communications, Education, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in community outreach, public health, or family services. Experience in early childhood screening or developmental assessment preferred. Community Health Worker certification from the Florida Certification Board (preferred). Training: Completion of program approved training in autism screening instruments (e.g. M-CHAT-R/F, STAT, SCQ) and sensitivity communication with families. Strong knowledge of child development and early-intervention processes. Ability to communicate results effectively and compassionately to families. Cultural competence and ability to work in diverse community settings. Proficiency with data documentation and reporting systems
